Here at Green University we are actively committed to providing our students with applicable hands on experiences as we believe that our students shouldn’t just be classroom learners, but world learners as well. This learning outcome is obtained through our rigorous curriculum that consists of three core achievements we believe our students are capable of embodying:

-
Actively and critically thinking about one’s multifaceted identity and how it impacts the environment and those within that environment.
-
Demonstrating and articulating the interdisciplinary context of environmental issues.
-
Formulating an action plan for sustainable alternatives that integrate science, humanist and social perspectives.
Purpose and Learning Outcomes
The Major and Minor Requirement
We understand that the world around us is complex and intersects on various academic and social levels, connecting the sciences with the humanities and the humanities with the social sciences. Because we aspire to produce well rounded, critically engaged citizens, we make sure our curriculum and its requirements reflect just that. Therefore here at Green University, we expect our students to integrate these various academic and social levels in their major and minor. We have two major programs to choose from: Environmental Studies and Environmental Science and we have over 20 minors to pair with your chosen major. However, you must choose a minor that is in a separate discipline than your major. This challenges students to not only become experts in one academic sector but in two, allowing them to fully grasp and embody the intersectionality of the humanities, sciences and social sciences.

How Does this work? Below you will find a brief outline of our two majors along with their description and required courses. You will also see a breakdown of our minors in their respective discipline.
